The Fairy Feller’s Master Stroke // Live at the Rainbow.
Queen played three sold-out shows at the legendary Rainbow in 1974. The first was in March, the crowning glory of the Queen II tour; the band then returned for two more nights in November as a part of the Sheer Heart Attack tour.
This is a recording of “The Fairy Feller’s Master Stroke” live at the Rainbow during the Queen II tour.
"I Want It All" acapella.
anytime Freddie does that creepy laugh thing in a song is just spine-tingling
in my defence // freddie mercury
I’m just a singer with a song,
how can I try to right the wrong?
for just a singer with a melody,
I’m caught in between with a fading dream.
John Deacon’s bass lines → Somebody To Love. (As you know, the intro of the song is acapella - that’s why you can’t hear anything). Happy birthday, John!
Queen - Hijack My Heart
My favourite B-side of Queen. I love Roger’s voice.
Queen // Headlong (Demo)
Recorded during the Innuendo sessions.
“Headlong came from me, at our studio in Montreux, a home recording studio for us that’s very state-of-the-art, lovely for creating. The ideas came in a couple of days. At first I thought about it as a song for my solo album but, as always, the band is the best vehicle. As soon as I heard Freddie sing it, I said, ‘That’s it!’ Sometimes it’s painful to give the baby away, but what you gain is much more. It became a Queen song.” - Brian May.
queen // mad the swine
they call me mad the swine
I guess I’m mad the swine
I’ve come to save you, save you
Doing All Right - Queen
wAIT THIS IS AMAZING
30 day favourite band meme → A song from their debut album: Son & Daughter.
I adore this song, and I’ve been listening to it on repeat lately. Most of the people who know songs from their debut album know Liar and Keep Yourself Alive, but there are other masterpieces in that album and this is one of them. It’s not a long track, but it’s bloody brilliant.
Keep Yourself Alive - Queen
I was told a million times
Of all the people in my way
How I had to keep on trying
And get better every day
But if I crossed a million rivers
And I rode a million miles
Then I’d still be where I started
Same as when I started
Keep yourself alive
Keep yourself alive
It’ll take you all your time and money
Honey, you’ll survive
Some Day One Day - Queen.
Rare song of Fred, demo.
